This pirate themed writing sheet is my second most popular item! This writing sheet supports the children by providing three sections for the beginning, the middle and the end of their story. This helps them greatly in retelling their favourite pirate story!

Pirate Ship Cut and Stick Activity- Free teaching resource
'Oh no! This pirate ship sunk and broke into pieces! Children come and help the poor pirates by fixing their ship!' ;) Something like that :) Cut out the pieces and stick them together on the sea. When using this activity remember to print out the picture of the completed ship for guidance.

Pirates Writing Sheet- Free Teaching Resource
Let the children colour the pirates then they can write a few sentences describing them. This works best after they've had a lot of input on labelling and are more familiar with knowing what to look at when wanting to describe something.

Pirates Wanted Poster with a twist- Free teaching resource
Creating a wanted poster during your pirate themed week (or term!) is a must. I've used this pirate poster in my starter activity and asked for the help of a child to poke his face through it with the rest of the class helping me label this wanted man. It kept the children engaged and motivated to create their own wanted posters.
For best results print and label it A3!
Pirates Cut and Stick activity- Dress up a pirate
I've used this pirate cut and stick activity as an independent activity during our Pirates Love Underpants theme. This activity was introduced by saying that although pirates do love underpants they can't be walking around wearing nothing but their underpants! The children were asked to cut and stick their chosen pieces of clothing onto the pirate and were then asked to label at least three things such as 'pink boots' or 'stripy shirt'. The children absolutely loved this activity and they were keen to complete it all by themselves :)

Flowers Number Line Flowers Numbers Display
This is a bright and colourful resource that can be used to decorate your classroom or the outdoors. I personally use it for both! It is important to have numbers displayed around the classroom that children can look at but what's better is if the display is not only pleasing the eye but can also be played with. I personally displayed these under my IWB with blue tack so that it can be easily taken off. I often mix them up and choose a child to come and do me a HUGE favour by organising my little flowers :) Yes, I do make a big deal of it and yes the children respond really well to it. If you cut these flowers out first and then laminate them you can make them waterproof so they can easily be displayed outside!
Pirate Word Cards Hidden in a Treasure Chest- Free Teaching Resource
Down with the boring word mats! :) How much more exciting it is to find a word inside a treasure chest? All you need to do is print the pages double sided and cut around the treasure chest (and the lid!) then fold the lid. It will make more sense when you see the resource. Print it on card paper or laminate it and it's ready to use.
This is an editable teaching resource so you can add your own words! This is pub document and you will need Microsoft Publisher to open it.

Aliens Love Underpants Subtraction Underpants- Free Teaching Resource
When doing our topic on Aliens Love Underpants I've realised that there is barely anything out there for teachers to use. Perhaps it's because it's not that popular? Not sure. Either way I have created some underpants with subtraction sentences and small images for the children to cross off when solving the problem. Cut them out and hang them on a washing line. If you laminate them you can reuse them again and again.

Pirate Number Line 0-10
I designed four different versions of this pirate number line to suit a variety of needs. You can use the ready made and coloured number line or you can let your children colour it themselves. For the more able group I've created a blank number line so they can write the numbers themselves. I would laminate it for them so it will last longer. Just watch how they will love using their own number lines!

Pirate Number Line
This resource was created to support the popular and much loved theme of pirates! These pirates can be used as flash cards or as classroom display. You can peg them onto a washing line and as the children to put them in the right order. You can also just scatter them across the carpet and ask the children to put them in order lining them up ready to set to sail! There are many more ways to use them but whatever you choose the children will enjoy looking at these beautiful pictures of cute pirate children!

Multicultural Children Alphabet Display or Flash Cards
These flash cards show multicultural children holding lower and upper case letters from the alphabet. They can be used as display where the letters in the middle make a nice line or you can use them as flash cards. I've used a precursive handwriting font which most resembles the way we teach children to write.
Months of the Year Display Cards
One way to decorate you classroom is by hanging these display cards up as illustrated on the photo. You might want to place them next to each other around your classroom. Whatever you choose to do this display is surely an impressive addition to your classroom with its lively colours.
Phonics Phase 2 Phonics Bunting Display
I am a firm believer that building up your classroom display with the children gives them a sense of ownership over their environment. This bunting display was designed with the intention of doing just that! After teaching a new sound to the children display the bunting of that letter only. The next day you add next day's letter and so on. This way you can build your classroom decoration with the children. I've added some pictures for each letter which will support the children in recognising the letter.
Alphabet Bunting Display
My most popular resource is this beautiful alphabet bunting I have created. It comes with a precursive handwriting font with colourful dots that definitely catch the children's eyes. You can use a hole punch to feed a string through or simply use pegs. If you display it low enough for your children to reach you can create a challenge for them by mixing them up and the children have to put them in the correct order again. Whether you use it for decoration only or for hands on learning this will surely brighten up your classroom.
